Francis Moss: Polypores

The sophomore release from Wonder Revolution’s Francis Moss, Polypores, picks up where debut release El Yunque left off, adding classical guitar, acoustics and dulcimers to his standard sonic pallet electric guitar tones and bells.  While El Yunque is music from the forest, Polypores further narrows the thematic focus to mushrooms.  A new Francis concept of miniature guitar composition is introduced with an emphasis on extended lydian and polychordal harmonies, merging classical and jazz guitar techniques and ambient textures.   Polypores spans 30 minutes with 17 short pieces that further evolve Lord’s unique vision for his instrument and modern guitar composition.
