Craig Owens Bodo Trio
Craig Owens and Randy Bowen have been friends since they were roommates in Colorado Springs in the early 70’s. When Owens returned to the U.S. from the West Indies in the 80’s they played together again in the very first Bodo event with Glenn Holmes. There were subsequent Bodo performances involving the trio and other musicians. Bowen returned to Wichita for a Bodo reunion of sorts and took time out to record at Air House with Owens and Miki Masuda Jarvis. Miki was the bass player for several incarnations of the Bodo Ensemble and a favorite among the many musicians who have passed through that band. The combination of Miki and Bowen always seemed a likely one and we’re pleased with the results.
